In this video, we go through how to self-launch a kite. This is a simple way that I launch my kite by myself most of the time. This method is fast and relatively uncomplicated. Much like launching a kite when someone is holding it for you, we start by setting up the kite in a nice clear area, prepare to move into the launch position, and steer the kite up into the air, all by ourselves!

We also cover other ways to self-launch in other videos. Particularly if its rocky or a tight area it may be better to use an anchor self-launch for instance. That said, with a nice sandy area, this is how I always launch myself.
