Upon delving deeply into the intricacies of the Internet, Jonathan explores the issue of the loss of Net Neutrality: Net Neutrality is the idea wherein all websites are treated equally - the loss of it would mean that internet providers could charge people to access certain websites, or even block access to it entirely. After attempting to discuss this issue with fellow peers, Jonathan explains that people around him were mostly oblivious to the issue and were not aware of what the loss of Net Neutrality entailed. Seeing that Net Neutrality is becoming ever more pertinent in today's society due to society's dependence on the internet, Jonathan was inspired to give this TEDx talk to his local community - especially since the loss of Net Neutrality may have an effect on his immediate surroundings. He hopes that this talk will raise awareness for this issue, which in turn will garner support for the movement of the protection of Net Neutrality. Jonathan is a High School senior who has an interest in the sciences and technology. He has created and managed three different websites, and his experience in working with such websites has led him to learn more about the Internet and become more interested in it. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
