The interactive 360-degree video (360°VR) offers an immersive learning experience, accessible both on desktop and via virtual reality glasses. The research field "Educational Technologies in VET" (SFUVET) developed a 360°VR that shows the correct procedure for venous sampling. The content was co-designed by SFUVET researchers based in Lugano and teachers from the Scuola Specializzata Professionale Socio Sanitaria (SSPSS) in Giubiasco to train healthcare assistants.

This video has been integrated into experimental teaching activities, and its effectiveness has been assessed over a three-year period.

Key research findings include:
- Positive attitude toward the 360°VR: Trainees highly value the 360-degree immersive video for its practical usefulness in learning the venous sampling procedure.
- Empathy and Presence: Trainees experience a strong sense of empathy and the illusion of being present within the video scene.
- Critical Analysis: The video provides numerous elements for developing critical analysis focused on error prevention, including the technical aspects of the procedure, the operator-patient relationship, and issues related to the environmental context.

To date, approximately 120 trainees have utilized the 360-degree video over the three-year span.
