New Jersey-based Latin indie pop artist Lawd Ito expresses the rich colors, rhythms, and soul of his Afro-Boricua roots through his music. As a bilingual singer-songwriter and producer, Ito experiments with diverse Latin styles and fuses them with contemporary R&B and hip-hop. By evolving these idioms and exploring romance, heartbreak, mental health, and celebration as central themes, Ito creates his very own eclectic, vibrant, and forward-thinking brand of Latin pop. In 2021, he released his debut EP You like it? I love it!

Lawd Ito was born in the Bronx and moved to Newark when he was 12. He worked as a children’s music teacher for several years before turning to music-making full-time.
