In this free tutorial I show you how to make a practical and convenient travel pen holder, ideal to keep in your purse to always have what you need for your travel journal.

Here is what you need for this project:
2 mm pressed cardboard
binder's cloth
patterned paper
thick cotton thread or that used for binding
round-headed screw rivet
wooden beads or decoration of your choice (buttons, charms, etc.)
vinyl glue
awl
pleat
scissors

Cardboard measurements:
(A) no. 1 base 19 x 4.5 cm
(B) no. 2 long sides 19.5 x 3 cm
(C) no. 2 short sides 4.5 x 3 cm
(D) no. 2 covers 19.9 x 5.2 cm
(E) no. 1 spine per cover 19.9 x 3 cm

Binder cloth measurements:
no.1 outer box 21 x 12 cm
no.1 outer cover 23.5 x 18 cm
n.1 inside hinge 19 x 4.5 cm

Measurements of patterned paper:
n.1 inner box base 19 x 4.5 cm
n.2 long outer sides of the box 22 x 4.6 cm
n.2 short outer sides of the box 4.5 x 4.6 cm
n.1 inside cover 19 x 4.6 cm

👀 In the video from the material list I omitted to indicate the awl (to puncture the cover) the wooden beads to decorate. Alternatively you can use charms, buttons etc to your taste and liking.
