After a recent run to Portland, Alan and I decided to hop over to the Washington side of the river to check out what Waste Connections of Vancouver is running these days! Within a couple minutes of exiting the freeway, we saw this bright pink truck picking up recycling right in front of us! This is one of Vancouver's newest recycling trucks - a 2018 Peterbilt 320 with a Labrie Expert Helping Hand body, complete with the "glass compartment" option, and the only truck in the fleet to current wear this eye-catching pink paint scheme! This truck is being used to help promote the "Turn Clark County Pink" program, in which residents can purchase a pink recycling cart, with 100% of the proceeds going to support those fighting breast cancer through the Pink Lemonade Project.

As for the truck itself, this was an awesome unexpected catch and fantastic way to kick-off our afternoon in Vancouver! Big shout-out and thank-you goes to all of the wonderfully friendly people over at Waste Connections!
