DO NOT BUY!

After only mowing twice with the battery powered zero turn ryobi zt480ex mower, I knew I was going to have to do something about the turf tires. They just aren't made for rural lawns or hillsides, which I have both. It made the mower pretty dangerous doing slalom turns at the bottom of the hills (that is where you turn the mower and the rear end breaks traction and then just slides sideways so you have to use steering to compensate for the shift in weight and direction).

So I ordered new tires from amazon, the url to be exact: https://amzn.to/3NFAPOU and I must mention that these are NOT ATV flotation type tires. These are a heavy sidewall and load rated tire suitable for a mower that has 400+ lbs of batteries in the back of it.

This video really starts out with me telling you about the problem with the turf tires spinning everywhere, taering out spots all over my yard. Its not the mowers fault, its just the tires are not made for this type of lawn. They are made for those highly groomed city-folk yards that are flat as can be and never get walked on. Then I move on to showing you how to remove the wheels from the mower, remove the tires from the wheels, install the new tires, add air, reinstall the wheels. Then we go for a test drive and try to get the mower to spin out, or the tires to break traction in several problem areas of my yard.

I have been super happy with how much the tires imrproved this mower in my rural kentucky home.
