Gamle Strynefjellsveg ("Old Stryn mountain road") is one of a few gravel roads in western Norway that is easily accessible and at the same time; it is a passthrough, you do not have to turnaround and go back the same way :-).
Of the 27.2 km approx. 17.3 km is gravel.
Gamle Strynefjellsvegen is one of Norway's 18 National Scenic Routes (link below), so it is quite busy in the season. I think the paved part of the road is actually the most scenic one. The transition from tarmac to gravel is approx. at the border between Vestland and Innlandet county.
