The Federal Government has announced Tuesday, October 1st as a public holiday to celebrate Nigeria’s 64th Independence Anniversary.



This day is set aside to honour the nation’s journey since gaining independence and to inspire hope for the future.

The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, made the announcement through a statement from the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Magdalene Ajani.
