These lenses are usually prescribed for patients that have keratoconus or other corneal irregularities, or even with high astigmatism. They are called scleral lenses because the lenses fit and rest on the sclera, not the cornea. These lenses have amazing benefits, and can sometimes give a person their best vision possible.
