In part 2 of this series of videos from Iceland, Dabbi and I chase #trout and #char in the rivers Galtalækur and Fossá, as well as Þingvellirvatn and the surrounding area.

Galtalækur is a small tributary of the West Ranga that offers the angler a chance to catch trophy sized #wildbrowntrout in crystal clear water. The setting is almost beyond belief and we discover a 'pool of dreams' beneath a waterfall, just as the river disappears underground.

Our trip then takes us (up one of the world's sketchiest roads) to fish the pool at the base of Haifoss, Iceland's 2nd largest waterfall, where I learn the meaning of the Icelandic phrase 'þetta reddast'!

Finally, we turn our attention to #arcticchar and catch fish of various sizes on dry flies and the nymph. A stunning char of 2lbs from Þingvellirvatn is a fitting way to round off a memorable week in Iceland.
