Genuinely apologize for the fish handling on this one. I was really new to fishing and didn't understand the necessity for getting fish back into the water quickly and using a net. I've gotten a lot better. Anyways, on my way to Philadelphia I stopped at Valley Forge National Park which not only has interesting/inspiring historic sites, but also has a great Wild Brown Trout fishery in Valley Creek. This creek passes right by George Washington's headquarters into the Schuylkill River. Had a fantastic summer morning nailing nice Wild Brown Trout up to 12-14 inches. Great place and unique due to its proximity to such a large population center.
