An overview of MIDI messages and how to construct this musical performance information from status bytes and data bytes.

Building off of our last discussion of MIDI (   • The MIDI Protocol: Bits, Bytes, and B...   ), I go over MIDI channels, and then go through the messages for Note Off, Note On, Polyphonic Aftertouch, Control Change, Program Change, Channel Aftertouch, and Pitch Bend Change--understanding each bit's role in these messages.
