Translator's Notes:
[1] Ogier is Vyn's butler.
[2] Kingdom of Svart is a fictional country in Tears of Themis. According to Big Data Lab (thank you Marius), the Svart Kingdom is located on northern Europe led by dictatorship. Currently, Kingdom of Svart is politically stable. It's a rich country that is rich in the aviation industry, telecommunication industry and pharmaceutical industry, many MNCs have set a branch in this country, hence there are frequent international trades. The King is the nominal head of state and a symbol of the country in Svart. Although the actual head of state is their prime minister, but the noble family led by the Duke of Haspran is still undeniably having a very strong influence to the country. And if you have yet to know already, Haspran is Vyn's actual last name.
[3] Periodical: A magazine or newspaper published at regular intervals.
[4] Albert is Vyn's middle name. It is revealed in his RRG card.
[5] This is from the RRG card.
[6] In Chinese, MC address Eirik as 'uncle', something that sounds closer to a family member because that's how Chinese people do when it comes to meeting their S/O's parents. Of course, not blood related as usual.
[7] Vestibule: An antechamber, hall, or lobby next to the outer door of a building.

His Mother, Mo ZiJin (I've previously translated her name as Jyn Richter) is a foreigner (Chinese, in fact) that also came from a scholarly family. They fell in love at first sight and realized that they had Vyn before their marriage. However, the Church insisted for his mother to convert her religion, which is against her family background's beliefs. Eirik was being too careful in his actions, and ZiJin could no longer wait anymore, hence leaving Eirik as whole.
[10] Lord is apparently how we address a Count/ Earl. Please correct me if I'm wrong, I have close to 0 knowledge about this.
[11] 苦肉計 is the ruse of inflicting an injury on oneself to win the trust of an enemy. Comes from the story of Three Kingdoms.
[12] Update on 27 Sept: It's brought to my attention that there's a theory where the Church of Svart probably doesn't answer to the Vatican (the Roman Catholic Church). Since it influences politics to an extent, they seem more closely modeled after the Church of Sweden, which was a State Church. (Reference: https://sweden.se/life/society/religi.... Hence, it's theorized that Svart has their unique religion of their own. Hence I've updated the subtitles from "Vatican" (based on official translations in Medieval Suspense) to "Church".
