BMW R 1250 RS

A big shout out to @The Black Rider who let us film him carrying out this service on his beautiful 1250 RS.

Considering how important the drive train mechanism is, it shocking that the drive shaft servicing is not covered during the routine servicing and may owners will be left frustrated when they discover that they will need to get this done separately.

This is our first time undertaking this service so let us know if there is anything that could have been done easier, quicker etc.

Its also a good idea to check your brake pads at the same time as they are easy to replace and will save you a few pennies

Tools used during the service

1. Ratchet drive (preferably 1/2 inch drive)
2. Short extension
3. Torx set (T50, T45, T40,T30)
4. 6mm Hex key
5. crow bar
6. Flat screwdriver
7. 10mm Spanner
8. Side cutter
9. Bungee
10. Impact driver
11. Locktite
12. Final drive oil
13. Zip tie
14. Container to catch final drive oil
