At the premiere of 'The Weekend,' directed by Daniel Oriahi, Bucci Franklin told Nollywire that he didn't talk to his mom for 3 weeks to become during the movie's production to allow him to embody his character Luc, who had serious issues with his parents.

Nollywoire also talked to the other stars of 'The Weekend,' including Uzoamaka Aniunoh, James Gardiner, Keppy Ekpenyong, and Damilola Ogunsi on the red carpet.

Director Oriahi, writer Freddie Anyaegbunam Jr., and the makers of the movie Uche Okocha and Babatunwa Aderinokun also shared details about the making of the thriller and the reception they received as the first Nigerian movie to have its world premiere at the Tribeca Festival.
