Things to remember: do not put mustard paste in hot oil or pan, as it will make the paste taste bitter (step-by-step process demonstrated in the video ).

Shorshe ilish is a traditional Bengali dish made with hilsa fish, also known as ilish, cooked in a mustard seed and mustard oil sauce. It is a popular dish in Bangladesh and West Bengal, and is often served with rice. The mustard seeds and mustard oil give the dish a distinctive pungent and tangy flavor, and the hilsa fish adds a rich, delicate taste. Shorshe ilish is a flavorful and aromatic dish that is enjoyed by many.

In the video, we only showed 4 pieces of fish being cooked, but with this recipe, you can cook 7-8 pieces. We had to show less because the rest of the pieces were fried separately for another recipe.
