Hirosaki Castle Park, located in the Aomori Prefecture of the Tohoku region in North East Japan, is widely regarded as one of the best places in Japan to experience cherry blossoms. The park boasts an impressive 2,600 cherry blossom trees, featuring a diverse range of cherry varieties such as Somei Yoshino, Weeping cherry blossoms, and Yaezakura (double-flowered cherry blossoms).

Due to the abundance of large cherry blossom trees in the park, the Sakura Fubuki (Cherry blossom blizzard) and Hana Ikada (Flower raft) phenomena are especially stunning during cherry blossom season. Sakura Fubuki refers to the state in which cherry blossom petals are falling like a snowstorm, creating a breathtaking display. Hana Ikada, on the other hand, is a Japanese term used to describe the scene when countless flower petals have fallen onto the surface of water, resembling a raft.
