the genre of pop punk first emerged in the 1970s, and combined the elements of traditional punk music with the more light-hearted pop elements. the genre was popularised by groups like the buzzcocks and the ramones, but is probably most remembered for the bands of the late 90s and early 00s - think all time low, blink-182, and paramore.

in kpop, the pop punk genre first started to emerge in 2018 (although there are a couple of examples that pre-date this), but the genre really exploded in 2022. this year, a good chunk of comebacks were clearly influenced by the 00s pop punk scene, it it has definitely been THE sound of 2022. so, i've compiled 50 examples of songs that are influenced by the sounds of pop punk!
