About Sumiyoshi Shrine Festival
The main festival is held for four days from Friday to Monday around August 6 (once every three years).
During the main festival, which is held once every three years, the lion head is unveiled, the octagonal portable shrine is unveiled, and the portable shrine is carried on a boat to the shrine's Ujiko district.
Six banners are erected on Tsukuda Island, and the lion head of the dragon and tiger and the lion head of the black koma are also displayed.
