I've seen Tower of Power several times and they never cease to amaze me. I'm always hoping they would play my favorite tune, "Sparkling In The Sand" but I think the ship has passed on that wish. But I'm content with another tune that is among my all-time favorite, "You're Still A Young Man." Whenever I listen to that song, it takes me back to those blue lights in the basement on those endless Saturday nights. When the song originally came out, I was a young man...where did those days go? Tower of Power had a strong musical presence where I grew up. Latin soul. Their music resonated with us, along with War, Malo and Santana. Those were the days.
