The Vermeer HG6000 Colors mulch by presoaking the mulch, mixing with the roller, sizing and mixing with the mill and adds additional colorant if needed by top dressing on the conveyor which keeps the moisture off the belt so the machine is less messy with wet mulch fines and colorant. This system also keeps excess moisture out of the mill which reduces wear and mess while keeping the production up.
