As model railroaders we don’t have to settle for old school lighting for our layouts.
I’m currently building a much smaller double deck shelf layout on one side of a small extra bedroom. The plan calls for two separate levels, two scales, and two layout concepts. With this type of stacked benchwork, using the large shop lights would take up a huge amount of space above and below the top level benchwork.
I’d heard a lot of good things about LED (Light Emitting Diode) lighting for modeling railroading, so I did my research to determine what would work best for my situation. I finally settled on self-sticking LED tape lighting.
Follow along as I show you how I install LED lighting on the Mosquito Creek Lumber Company On30 model railroad.
