Thanks again to Mr Mundy - Traditional Owner of the Mirning Traditional Lands Aboriginal Corporation for having me on country and showing around.

EUCLA JETTY
Eucla Jetty is 5 km from Eucla town (village) and was constructed in 1887 and remained in use until 1926. It is a maritime heritage site, with a detailed Report (#84) by the Dept. of Maritime Archaeology at the WA Maritime Museum.

Eucla Village is the easternmost locality in Western Australia, located along the Eyre Highway, c.11 km west of the South Australian border (Wikipedia 2005). It is the only Western Australian location on the Eyre Highway that has a direct view of the Great Australian Bight due to its elevated position immediately next to the Eucla Pass – where the highway moves out and above the basin known as Roe Plains that occurs between the Madura and Eucla passes (Wikipedia 2015).
