This video is a mix, or mashup, consisting of several variations on the battle music "Chasing Daybreak" from the Fire Emblem series. It consists of soundtracks from the Nintendo Switch titles Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes.

The song “Chasing Daybreak” expresses the struggle to create change in a world caught in the chaos of war. As the word “daybreak” is synonymous with the word “dawn,” the music circles back to the idea explored within “The Edge of Dawn.” Daybreak, or dawn, represents a new age—whether it is a world lacking Crests, a world of equality, or simply a time of peace and prosperity. However, though daybreak is a hopeful concept, the music “Chasing Daybreak” certainly is not the same. With its distressed tone, it is plain that war is vicious; war is cruel. Although a new dawn is without a doubt attainable, there is a long path that must be taken in order to achieve this dawn of a new era. With each life torn apart as a bloody path is cut ahead, daybreak seems to grow farther and farther. The bloodbath across the continent could continue for decades until there is no one left to rule. Yet, the faster the war progresses, the fewer lives will be lost—the more people that can experience a period of tranquility. This bloodshed can cease to be only if this new dawn is sought after at a rapid pace. Only if one continues chasing daybreak.
