Robert Wadlow holds the record for the tallest human ever verified. Born in 1918 in Alton, Illinois, USA, Wadlow exhibited extraordinary growth from a young age. His height reached a staggering 8 feet 11 inches (2.72 meters) before his untimely death at the age of 22.
Wadlow's growth was primarily due to a pituitary gland disorder known as hyperpituitarism, which caused excessive production of growth hormones. Despite his size, he remained a gentle and kind-hearted individual, inspiring many with his positive spirit.
