G-Unit's "Beg for Mercy" also came out in 2003. The album sold 380,000 copies in its first week and debuted at number 3 on the Billboard 200. But more importantly, it introduced the world to Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo, and Young Buck. "Beg for Mercy" officially put G-Unit Records on the map. After the success of that album, 50 Cent started bringing new artists into the group. One of those artists was a rapper from Compton, California, who goes by the name Spider Loc.
