Henri Marie Raymond de Toulouse Lautrec Monfa, French painter, designer, lithographer, poster designer and illustrator. Born on November 24, 1864 at the Château du Bosc in Albi. During his adolescence, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec suddenly stopped growing due to a bone disease and two falls from a horse which left him deformed. He then began to paint and draw and then moved to Paris in 1882 to refine his knowledge of art. He immersed himself in impressionism and became friends with Edgar Degas and Vincent Van Gogh. He frequented cabarets and immortalized them in his paintings as well as on his posters. He also paints theaters, café-concerts and brothels whose characters he captures from life. From 1890, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec was at the height of his artistic career and his notoriety. He became an emblematic figure of Parisian nights. It is the apogee of his pictorial work.
