The Chandrabadni Devi Temple is a Hindushrine, located in a tiny hamlet called Jamnikhalin Tehri Garhwal district o Uttarakhand.Chandrabadni Temple is a one of the ShaktiPeeths and holy shrine of Goddess Sati.A place of faith and devotion, ChandrabadniTemple lies at an height of 2277 mtrs onChandrabadni mountain which was also knownas Chandrakoot mountain in history. Thus, lord Shiva was pacified.

The place has views of the Surkanda,Kedarnath and Badrinath peaks. The temple issmall and contains a Shri-yantra carved out ona flat stone instead of any idol. Traditionally, acloth canopy is tied to the ceiling over thisShri-yantra once a year and the Brahmanapriest doing it has to do it blind-folded

By road, one can reach Jamnikhal which isabout 31 km from Devprayag by road and 109km from Narendra Nagar. From Jamnikhal it is a7 km plus one km walk uphill to ChandrabadaniTemple. Nearest railhead is at Rishikesh andnearest airport is Jolly Grant of Dehradun

The nearest bus stand from Chandrabadni is inDevprayag which is 33 km from the place.Buses are available from ISBT Kashmiri Gate,Delhi to Devprayag. After reaching Devprayag,you have to cover the remaining distance bytaxi/cab or local transport to Chandrabadni. Inorder to reach the temple, you have to undergoa 1 km trek starting from taxi stand
