Very popular in Guyana and the Caribbean. This tasty treat is a delight. I have included 2 different ways on how to make this sugar cakes/coconut sugar cakes.
Ingredients for method 1
Burnt sugar cakes (Bun sugar cakes)
1 large grated coconut(3 cups of grated coconut)
1 can carnation milk
1 and 1/2 cup of brown sugar
1 cinnamon stick
1 and 1/2 TBS grated ginger
1 tsp grated nutmeg

Ingredients for method 2

1 large grated coconut( 3 cups of grated coconut)
1 can carnation milk
1 and 1/2 cup water
1 and 3/4 cup granulated sugar( can use brown sugar)
1 cinnamon stick
1 and 1/2 TBS grated ginger
1 tsp grated nutmeg
Red food coloring
yellow food coloring
