In this video I am showing some really cool relic cleaning tools and most importantly a new product we offer called Renaissance Metal De-Corroder. This de-corroder works by breaking the bond between the underlying metal and the 150+ years of corrosion the brass has endured. This brass saddle buckle with a star was found in an old ghost town in Kansas that was occupied and inhabited before the civil war and was frequented by soldiers, renegades, and hosted post office, a racetrack, casino, hotel, and a brothel. It saw a lot of traffic up until the civil war when it slowly diminished into what it is today - a bean field.

Here is the video of me actually finding the buckle while metal detecting:

This buckle was a D ring that was used at the upper part of a cinch from a saddle. I suspect this to be from a saddle of a soldier out of Texas based on the star cut out. Whoever had this buckle was a man of importance as, in its day it was bright and shiny as it was when I completed the restoration.
