In this video number {1145} Optocoupler Current transfer ratio CTR . I explained current transfer ratio CTR in optocouplers. What is Current Transfer Ratio (CTR)? Current Transfer Ratio (CTR) is a ratio of the current to the output collector and input forward current and is represented in a percentage. CTR is mainly characterized in analog opto-emulator or optocoupler devices. if we apply input forward current to the LED and apply voltage to the collector-emitter, the output collector current can be measured. Current transfer ratio is a parameter, that is similar to the DC current amplification ratio of a transistor beta or (hFE) and is expressed as a percentage indicating the ratio of the output current (IC) to the input current (IF).
CTR(%) = (IC/IF) x 100
