Sometimes the stress of being a stage 4 cancer patient (or having any cancer diagnosis) is the relentless medical appointments you need to attend to.
The past two weeks were a big reminder of that for me, as I've had a circulating tumor test, done labs, had an MRI, and will do a PET scan in a few days. That's also why I make cancer vlogs; this is what someone who hasn't gone through this stuff might need to know as they construct an idea of how to approach their own diagnosis.
The likelihood of a recurrence is low right now given I got a 'negative' result from the CTC test. However, there's still a chance, which is scary. My main focus is on solving the pain I'm having in my hip - I've been complaining about that on camera for a while.
Mostly, this turned into a good therapy/mental health vent session, as I talked my way through a problem and a solution. Hopefully, there are takeaways for everyone who is dealing with a cancer diagnosis - whether it's yourself or a loved one.
