This time I went to Ryokan Yamashiroya in Yufuin-cho, Yufu City, Oita Prefecture.
A cozy hot spring inn where you will be welcomed by a soft-spoken owner and his cheerful wife.

All four atmospheric hot springs can be reserved for private use.
Since it was possible to stop by and enjoy the hot springs, my husband and I immediately went to enjoy them.
I couldn't decide which bath to use, but I decided on a Shigaraki ware pottery bath.
I was drawn to the wonderful room where you can fully enjoy the Japanese atmosphere, with unrivaled windows, the warmth of wood, shoji screens, and owls.

After the hot spring, have lunch at a nearby rural restaurant, Bebenko.
The lawn seats outside have a great sense of openness.
You can enjoy your meal while looking at the blue sky and natural greenery.
