«Το Ιερό του Ποσειδώνα» είναι μια συγκινητική ιστορία για τη δύναμη και την αφοσίωση των κατοίκων του Πόρου να προστατεύσουν τον αγαπημένο τους τόπο από τις βιομηχανικές ιχθυοκαλλιέργειες. Έχοντας συγκινηθεί από τη μοναδική ομορφιά του νησιού και τη φιλοξενία των ντόπιων, ο σκηνοθέτης Mike Sampey και η παραγωγός Kirsten Bacon άντλησαν έμπνευση από τον αγώνα της κοινότητας ενάντια στις καταστροφικές συνέπειες του σχεδίου ΠOAY. Ο Πόρος αντιτίθεται κατηγορηματικά στο σχέδιο επέκτασης, το οποίο απειλεί το νησί με τη μετατροπή του από δημοφιλή τουριστικό προορισμό σε βιομηχανική ζώνη ιχθυοκαλλιέργειας, με ολέθριες περιβαλλοντικές και οικονομικές συνέπειες για την τοπική κοινότητα. Με γνώμονα την αγάπη για τον τόπο τους και τη φύση, οι κάτοικοι αγωνίζονται για να διατηρήσουν τον μοναδικό χαρακτήρα του νησιού και δείχνουν το δρόμο προς τη βιώσιμη ανάπτυξη, που σέβεται το περιβάλλον και τον άνθρωπο.

“The Sanctuary of Poseidon” is an emotionally evocative story of the steadfastness and loyalty of the residents of Poros to protect their beloved homeland from industrial fish farms. Touched by the island’s unique beauty and the hospitality of the locals, director Mike Sampey and producer Kirsten Bacon were inspired by the struggle of the community to combat the devastating effects of the POAY plan. Poros vehemently opposes the expansion plan which threatens the island with a transformation from a popular tourist destination to an industrial fish farming zone, with dire environmental and economic consequences for the local community. Driven by a love for their homeland and for nature, the residents are fighting to preserve the unique character of the island and point the way to a sustainable path that respects the environment and its people.
