The Mahindra Scorpio has completed its 20 years this month and on this special occasion, Mahindra & Mahindra launched their most awaited SUV "The Big Daddy of All SUVs" – Scorpio N and that too at a very competitive price. Mahindra's officials from all departments one by one described this New Scorpio N side looks like one of their products of Mahindra which is Alturas Z4. Let's see if the New Scorpio can make a strong hold on Indian Customers in the B segment SUVs as the Mahindra XUV700 did in its segment.

Design & Dimensions

The design of this New Scorpio N is quite amazing and has a Tough and Robust look and we can say that this is an Urban SUV in 6 and 7 Seater Options. The Dimensions of the New Scorpio N are quite huge and the highest among B segment SUVs. Mainly the command seat is at a good height which makes the driver feel like a king on the road.

Safety & Suspensions

The Scorpio N is built on a 3rd generation chassis platform (Body on Frame) which is known for the world-class bending and torsional stiffness which provides good stability and makes an SUV strong enough to go to any kind of terrain.
Other than that all safety features are provided by Mahindra in this massive SUV like 6 Airbags, Drivers Drowsiness Detection, Tiretronics (TPMS), Dynamic Stability Control, Traction control, Roll over mitigation, Hill Hold Control, Hill Descent Control, Brake Disc wiping, Electronic Brake Prefill, Trailer sway mitigation and ABS EBD.
The steering of the New Scorpio N is feather-Light steering with dual pinion EPS technology.
Front Suspensions- Double wishbone with long suspension travel of 225mm
Rear Suspensions- Penta Link Rear Suspension with watts link in it to make the car more stable.

Engine & Transmission

The New Scorpio N has two engine options both are completely made up of Aluminium – One is 2.0 Litres Gasoline Engine with 350bar TGDi which produces a maximum power of 203ps @ 5000 rpm and torque of 370 nm with Manual Transmission and 380 nm with Automatic transmission. The other engine is a 2.2 liters Diesel Engine with 1600 bar CRDi which produces the maximum power of 175ps @3500 rpm and torque of 370 nm for Manual Transmission and 400 nm for automatic transmission.
The New Scorpio N will be available with both 6-speed Manual & 6 Speed Automatic Transmission and also has Drive Modes 0 Zip, Zap and Zoom.
The New Scorpio also has 4xplor which means a 4*4 with four different Terrain Modes – Normal, Snow, Mud, and Sand.
Music System & Connected Features
The New Scorpio N comes with a 20.32cm infotainment system with 12 Sony speakers with 3D sound. The Infotainment has 70+ connected features along with the Apple car play and android auto. The System also has in-built Navigation also.
