I was mowing the sidewalk in my neighborhood when an elderly couple gave us $100
Today I went to a residential area and met an elderly couple who offered me $100 to come cut the grass and trim the sidewalk in front of their house. I wanted to go one step further and clean up the entire lawn, including the entire front driveway and the sidewalk beyond to finish it off.

His sidewalk was really overgrown, especially with dirt that had accumulated over time. I had to shovel a lot of dirt away. I spent the entire morning cleaning up the sidewalk. It was definitely one of the most labor intensive jobs I have ever done, but I was happy to make them happy.

I told him I didn’t want to charge him for this job because I wanted to help him. And I explained to him that the work I was doing was for the public good. He said it was helpful and wonderful. He thanked us very much.

Helping the elderly and those in need is something I have tried to do all my life and now I feel I can share it with all of you to encourage others to do the same.
