FC Girondins de Bordeaux are six-time French champions, seventeen-time trophy winners, and their alumni includes the likes of Jules Koundé, Jean Tigana, and Zinedine Zidane.

Les Girondins sit second in the all time Ligue 1 table, trailing only Marseille, but following relegation from Ligue 1 in 2022, and an enforced relegation this season, the French giants just gave up their professional licence.
