New 2024 BYD Denza Z9 GT in-depth Walkaround

The Denza Z9 GT is available in two variants, each offering two distinct front-end styles for consumers. Its design features include a low-slung body, frameless electric suction doors, hidden door handles, digital exterior mirrors, and an electric rear wing. These features, combined with the option for manual or electric door operation, give the vehicle a futuristic and premium feel.

The Z9 GT PHEV model pairs a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with three electric motors, delivering 640 kW (858 hp) and a remarkable range of 1,100 km. Even when running solely on gasoline, it maintains a fuel consumption of just 5.6 liters per 100 km. Meanwhile, the fully electric BEV version offers even more power, producing 710 kW (952 hp) and covering 630 km on a single charge. The BEV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, slightly quicker than the PHEV’s 3.6 seconds.

Designed by Wolfgang Egger, the Z9 GT stands out with its bold front grille, full-width rear light bar, and commanding road presence. With dimensions of 5,180 mm in length and a 3,125 mm wheelbase, it rivals luxury models like the Porsche Panamera. Inside, the tech-forward cabin includes multiple digital displays and even dual refrigerators, though this feature reduces trunk space. Prices start at RMB 339,800 (€43,030) and go up to RMB 419,800 (€53,200) as the Z9 GT prepares to enter European markets.
