🧘🏽‍♀️ Welcome back, yogis! Today, we're focusing on yoga for Restless Leg Syndrome and Sciatica, two conditions that can cause discomfort, especially at night. If you're new here, I'm Christine-Marie Quigless and this is day 4 of our 30-Day Sunrise Yoga Challenge for Beginners: Unleashing the Magic of Yoga.

🦵Restless Leg Syndrome is a neurological disorder that causes an uncontrollable urge to move your legs, often accompanied by uncomfortable sensations. Sciatica, on the other hand, is a condition characterized by pain radiating along the path of the sciatic nerve, which branches from your lower back through your hips and buttocks and down each leg.

🧘‍♀️ Yoga can be a great way to manage these conditions, providing gentle stretches and strengthening poses that can help to alleviate symptoms. Here are a few poses that we'll be focusing on today:

1️⃣ Legs-Up-The-Wall Pose (Viparita Karani): This pose can help to relieve lower back pain and is also beneficial for restless legs.
2️⃣ Pigeon Pose (Eka Pada Rajakapotasana): This pose provides a deep stretch for the hips, which can help to alleviate sciatic pain.
3️⃣ Child's Pose (Balasana): This is a restorative pose that can help to stretch the lower back and provide relief from sciatic pain.
4️⃣ Wide-Legged Standing Forward Bend (Prasarita Padottanasana): This pose can help to stretch the sciatic nerve from its beginning in the lower back to its end in the heels.

⚠️ Remember, it's important to listen to your body and only do what feels comfortable for you. If any of these poses cause pain or discomfort, please stop and consider modifying the pose or skipping it altogether.

📚 Don't forget, we have a companion book to this challenge available on Amazon Kindle. The book provides a basic primer on yoga's purpose, benefits, and how to apply it to your life. You can find it at this link: https://bit.ly/4ek2KSF

🗓️ Remember, you can start this challenge at any time and do it as often as you like. Each day's poses and discussions build on what we learned the day before, so it's important to start at the beginning: https://bit.ly/3Notq9n.

🙏 Thank you for joining me today, and I look forward to seeing you again tomorrow for day 5 of our 30-Day Sunrise Yoga Challenge: Unleashing the Magic of Yoga.

Wishing you joy, ease, space, and grace ✨
