Elephant Ears (Colocasia) are tropical plants grown for their dramatic foliage. Here in WNY, it's a good idea to start the tubers indoors to get them started as it can take some time for them to break dormancy. They can go outside once all danger of frost has passed and soil temperatures are around 65 degrees F. It's pretty simple to get them started as you can see in the video.
