పళని మందిరంలోని గర్భ గుడిలోని స్వామి వారి మూర్తి నవపాషాణములతో చేయబడినది. ఇటువంటి స్వరూపం ప్రపంచములో మరెక్కడా లేదు. అప్పట్లో బోగర్ అనే సాధువు తొమ్మిది రకాల ఔషధ మొక్కలు ఖనిజాలతో దీన్ని రూపొందించారట.వీటిని నవపాషాణములు అంటారు.అయితే ప్రతి రోజూ ఆరు అభిషేకాలు చేయడం వల్ల ఇది కాస్త దెబ్బతింది.
