In the second episode of The Pierhead Series, we were targeting big Smallmouth Bass. We were fishing blade baits around deep wood and rocks where Smallmouth were hanging out for the spring. As you can tell by the title of this video, we had one of the craziest by-catches when my buddy hooked into the biggest Michigan Largemouth either of us have ever seen!

Throughout this series, we attempt to showcase all the different fishing opportunities that the Great Lakes have to offer, specifically focusing on Lake Michigan. For 6 months, we are setting out to fish every single lake that is connected to Lake Michigan by a pierhead. We hope to highlight just a snapshot of all the different species of fish that can be targeted throughout different seasons.
