Timeline tab controls the duration and timing of the slide elements. Basically, it helps to arrange the text, image and animation part.

Hide the object: is useful to hide objects so that you can focus on other objects.

Lock the object: Once the image is locked, you will not be able to move on the slide and not be able to do the formatting part.
