FILMED IN HIGH DEFINITION. Docked at Evansville, Indiana, on the Ohio River, is an amazing warship from World War II: the LST 325. And anyone can visit it! LST is short for "Landing Ship Tank". This ships purpose was to storm beaches, drop a gate, and unload soldiers, tanks, jeeps, and other equipment, while laying down massive support fire from the deck. This is the one of the last LSTs left in the world, and it's a treasure for anyone interested in World War II. A southern Indiana exclusive!

Do check the LST 325 Museums website before you visit: the ship launches to other ports throughout the year. Also know that there are bulkheads to cross and ladders to climb on the tour: it is not handicap accessible.
